A must read for IT healthcare executives and entrepreneurs
Dewan and his co-authors provide a great overview of the field but even those outside of behavioral healthcare would benefit from reading this book. This is what the healthcare super information highway is really about. Dewan is a true visionary. A must read.

The Biographical Encyclopedia of the Negro Baseball Leagues
Published in Hardcover by Alva Press (January, 1998)
Author: James A. Riley
Average review score:

If You Love Baseball...
...I question that love if you do not have this book. This is the most concise collection of biographies, stats, and information about every human involved with the development, management, and participation in every Negro League that ever existed. Even players whose first name was not known is listed with at least a few words about when they played and for whom. And the players with extensive history is detailed along with stats and other great side stories about them. There is even information on the teams in the Negro Leagues, which I found most interesting. I don't know of any other book that has as much information on the lesser-known players and behind-the-scenes people in the Negro Leagues than this one. If you are a Negro League fan, you probably already have this book. But if you are a baseball fan in general, you MUST have this book.

A must have book!
This is one of the most beautifully designed book I have read. It is though provoking but beautifully engaging. Once you finish looking at the pages time after time, you may read the words that accompany the art and know that Black Men are also made in the image of God.

The Boy Toy
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Harlequin (March, 2003)
Author: Eugenia Riley
Average review score:

engaging contemporary romance
In Texas, Allison Tracy informs her two best friends that she is sick of men and all the work it takes to forge a relationship with the losers she dates. She is tired of killing herself when the male acts so selfish and demanding everything their way. Allison has considered swearing off males entirely. However, the successful pharmaceutical saleswoman decides she likes sex so much she will find herself a boy toy to use until she tires of him and then replace that dud with a new stud.

At Westview Motors, service writer Pete Chisholm services Allison's vehicle and flirts outrageously with his customer. Normally she would have told this moron where to go, but this time she decides the hunk is perfect for a brief fling with no attachments. However, as they spend time together in and out of bed, they fall in love, but neither wants to be the first to admit they want to remain permanently together.

THE BOY TOY is an engaging contemporary romance that stars two individuals who represent the foibles of modern relationships. The story line moves forward rather quickly as the lead couple revises their desires. Fans will love the heat of this torrid tale.

Brazilian Rhythms for Drumset with CD (Audio)
Published in Paperback by Warner Brothers Publications (October, 1993)
Authors: Duduka Da Fonseca, Bob Weiner, Dan Thress, and John Riley
Average review score:

More than one note Samba.
I am not a drumset player (Yet !) but I'm interested in the rhythms of the world and Brazilian Rhythms are Fantastic, this book is quite good, it has sections on Samba, Bossa Nova, Baiao, Maracatu, Marca and Frevo, and patterns in odd meters.

The book starts with a short introduction on Brazilian music and then explaines the traditional Rhythms and the traditional Brazilian instruments and then demonstrates how to apply those rhythms to the drumset, the book comes with two C.D's which demonstrated most of the musical samples in the book.

Great book for drumset players and ALSO for those who want to understand Brazilian Rhythms.

Also recomended are Airto Moreiras great Videos, C,D's and books, and see also Brazilian Percussion Manual by Daniel Sabanovich and Brazilan Music Workshop by Antonio Adolfo.

For other types of rhythms check out these authors, Alan Dworsky, Reinhart Flatichler, Sule Greg Vilson, Yaya Diallo, Peter Magadini, Robert Starer and Gary Hess.

Bridey O'Riley & the Finn Foya
Published in Paperback by 1stBooks Library (August, 2002)
Author: Meredith J. Weber
Average review score:

A True Classic
This story is delightful, funny and touching. It has a classic coming-of-age theme with a mythical twist. Each subliminal metaphor is carefully interwoven with the plot, like an intricate Celtic design. Set in the ancient Ireland of young Bridey O'Reilly, our Dorothyesque heroine who proves herself indispensable to St. Patrick in his quest to drive the serpents out of Eire. The author weaves Bridey's world out of the yarns of historical places and authentic folklore. Well worth picking up -- a great read for any age.

The Burden Is Light: The Autobiography of a Transformed Pagan Who Took God at His Word
Published in Paperback by Walker and Co. (December, 1985)
Authors: Eugenia Price and Ellen Riley Urquhart
Average review score:

life-changing
The reality of what a carnal Christian I have been was made clear to me after reading this book. The solutions offered according to God's Word were brought home to me in such a delightful way and is helping to bring about change in my day-to-day life.

It seemed I could not grasp the reality of the truth that when I became a Christian-(born again), Christ really did come to live in me and I in Him. Eugenia Price makes it more plain to understand God's Word that says we must "die" to self daily and allow Christ that lives in us to grow. "As we decrease...He increases."

Before reading this book, it seemed like I was often defeated in my Christian walk, but now with an increased understanding of my Savior and our walk together, I am taking baby steps at living a more victorious life in Him as I am learning to trust Him more and more.

A Wonderful Story
A very tender love story, haven't seen a book written in such an old world style in a long, long time. Was most disapointed that it ended so soon, it kept me going the whole time I was reading it. Hope other books like this will be forthcoming from the author. I, for one, love this type immensely.
